I'm not sure if I should really be telling you this, but I just got
invited to deliver the Michael "Burnie" Burns memorial lecture at
Rooster Teeth University next June. I am supposed to be speaking
on the origins of machinima around the turn of the century. Also
on the schedule is a showing of the Spartans Trilogy and a panel
discussion with Matt Hullum, Paul Marino, and myself. Yay for life!!

I am really sorry; I havn't posted on my Xanga since LAST YEAR. How weird is that?? I havn't been able to do so for s ome time because 1) I have been enjoying the Holiday break immensly (We aren't allowed to say ******mas anymore; boo for life!) And 2) As you can see from which books I have been reading, I have been attempting time travel so that I could visit myself in the past and cheat on my final exams. I attempted this a few weeks after my last post, and had to go to the hospital. There was a Virtual Reality Ultra-Plasma video device (VRUPVD), so it wasn't so bad. I am now back home and in good shape. | | |
| Holy Madre! I haven't gotten around to xanga-ing in a long time. Well, I guess by now you will have learned that the men's basketball team lost to covenant (notice the c is not capitilized). Please accept my heartfelt condolences from the future.
One thing to say about my current BC Film students (because they can't read this blog): Wow! They dumber than Hades! Sorry, I just had to get that off my chest.

| How sweet is this? I found my old faculty listing from my first year of teaching. The archive people, for privacy reasons, deleted the image and the email address, but it sure brings back some good memories. What I wouldn't give to look like as young as I am in my profile picture again. | | |
